Regional Profiles:
It is believed that UPSF has to stretch out its services to all over the country.
However, the organization has chosen four regional states as the first entry point
considering that persons with disability dwelling in these areas are living in
cultural complexes that strongly resist their holistic development.
Addis Ababa:
The population of Addis Ababa is 3,059,000. (Male 1,469,001 and female 1,589,999). AA has 10 sub cities and 282 kebeles (local village) six zones and 28 Woredas. The total number of urban Kebeles is 305.
Amhara:
The total population is 19,624,008 of which 9,805,002 are males and 9,819,006 are females. Administratively the region is divided into 11 zones, 106 woredas and there are 337 kebeles in 208 towns.
Tigray:
The total population is 4,448,997 of which 2,192,996 are males and 2,256,001 are females. Administratively, the region is divided in to 4 zones, 35 Woredas and there are 140 kebeles in 74 towns.
